Jefferson City, Missouri

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and time-management skills are required.
  • Ability to use and read a standard tape measure is required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings is preferred.
  • Heavy construction experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use shop drawings and blueprints to determine dimensional specifications, setup requirements, and work procedure.
  • Install workpiece holders such as blocks, risers, or clamps onto production material.
  • Load, unload, or relocate material and product as necessary.
  • Set up and prepare production pieces for drilling, assembly, or additional fabrication.
  • Make manual adjustments such as aligning work pieces or machinery to given specifications.
  • Ensure all material is stored or rigged for movement in accordance with established safety policies.
  • Track, record, and locate material by assigned identification markings.
  • Clean and organize work areas.

Requirements:

  • Shift hours are Monday – Thursday, 4:15 PM – 2:45 AM.

  • Fabricate and assemble structural metal products.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as automated welders, brakes, shears, cutting torches, and drill presses.
  • Grind, hammer, and chip workpieces to prepare for welding, cutting, bending, and straightening.
  • Use internal blueprints and procedures to verify conformance of welding and production processes to specifications.
  • Perform all functional aspects of steel fabrication as directed, including grinding, cutting, bending, welding, fitting, and assembly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist production employees by ensuring work areas stay clean and organized.
  • Use brooms and other tools to sweep and clean production areas.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste or scrap receptacles.
  • Transport trash and scrap items to appropriate disposal or storage areas.
  • Keep tools, chains, ladders, and other production items picked up and organized.
  • Transport small equipment, parts, or tools between departments.
  • Follow all safety rules and policies.
  • Provide other assistance to production staff as needed.

Sedalia, Missouri

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree with emphasis in Office Management or a related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills are required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite are required.
  • Professionalism, attention to detail, and time management skills are required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and secretarial support for the Sedalia Plant Manager.
  • Various office related tasks, including typing, filing, and scheduling.
  • Perform organizational duties, such as record keeping, coordination of schedules, ordering supplies and working on special projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the Sedalia facility and all other departments within the organization.
  • Exercise independent judgment in planning, prioritizing, and organizing diverse workload.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of timesheets to Accounting and Human Resources departments.
  • Perform basic accounting functions, such as managing purchase orders, reconciling petty cash, and ensure organization and retention of applicable documents.
  • Coordinate special events, including appreciation lunches, health fair, and holiday party.
  • Ensure potentially sensitive and confidential information is protected and treated with appropriate discretion.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested by management.

Internships

DeLong’s Inc. accepts applications year round for Engineering, Drafting, Construction Management, and Industrial Technology internship positions. All internships are located at the Jefferson City office.
